Thanks to its unique chemical composition, a durable Rilsan® coating is the ideal protection against corrosion, chemical agents and mechanical damage that threaten the structural integrity of pipes, flanges and metal joints.
What are the key features of this innovative coating?
Here they are in detail.
Rilsan® is a chemical-plastic compound similar to paint but with very high performance. A layer of Rilsan® creates a highly resistant barrier against corrosive or harmful outdoor chemicals. This product is also suitable for use in marine environments, preventing damage from galvanic currents, rust and weathering.
Our coating offers outstanding chemical resistance for use in a variety of conditions, which may vary depending on the average temperature or the percentage of chemical pollutants.
Quality is synonymous with longevity, meaning that a coating or surface treatment must last over time while maintaining the properties of the item intact.
Paints or plastics correctly applied in a professional manner protect metal surfaces against the most aggressive substances they come into contact with.
Bioplastic protection is designed to remain effective even in difficult thermal conditions, providing the same degree of protection as at room temperature.
Entrusting us with the coating of your metal components is also a wise economic decision because it leads to a significant reduction in maintenance costs and an increase in the service life of the items treated.
Operationally, this translates over time into a reduced need for repairs and replacements, whose costs are often hidden or omitted. Rilsan® represent an initial investment that will guarantee great savings in the long run because pipes or flanges will no longer have to be replaced so frequently.
Rilsan® can be used in any situation, for any sized object.
It can be applied to any size of pipes, joints and metal flanges, thus ensuring complete coverage of all surfaces in direct contact with water.
Our coatings are made of bioplastic material and are therefore completely free of pollutants or toxic substances. The certifications we hold are proof that Rilsan® is suitable for use in the food industry and for the transport and conservation of drinking water in compliance with the most stringent regulations and standards.
R.P. Rivestimenti Plastici , as an authorised Arkema® applicator, manages the adhesion process of Rilsan® in a controlled manner and in compliance with WRAS regulations, the UK water industry's approval system, which certifies that the chemical anchor, once cured, is suitable for contact with water for domestic use.
In fact, Rilsan® meets the requirements of BS 6920-1: 2000 and 2014 “Suitability of non-metallic materials and products for use in contact with water for human consumption in terms of their impact on water quality”.
This material is also compliant with Kiwa® standard BRL-K759 “Coating systems for drinking water applications” dated 25/09/2018. In addition, its outstanding properties have enabled it to pass many other ISO tests and certifications.
